[edit] 2008B Profile Enhancements Overview

Profile management is becoming increasingly important within most travel industry sectors, both to help provide better service to customers and clients, and also as a central tool to collect and harmonize data for marketing and performance analysis.

This project will enhance the current OTA Profile messages and extend the messages to handle advanced search. New schemas will be developed to handle merge operations.

The scope of this project is to enhance guest and account/corporate profiles. In addition to enhancing the data model (OTA_ProfileCreateRQ) the following operations will either be enhanced or added:

  • Profile Search – OTA_ReadRQ
  • Profile Merge – a new OTA_ProfileMergeRQ
  • Profile Multi Delete – OTA_DeleteRQ/RS

To make updates to the Gap Analysis Document, please follow these steps:

  • Update the version control table in the document.
  • Rename the file with the date and your initials ("XML_messages_validation_by_OTA"+yyyymmdd+initials).
  • Upload your file to the wiki.
  • Copy the "latest" document link from above and add it to the top of the "past versions" section below.
  • Update the "latest" document link above so that it points to your newly uploaded file.
  • Add an entry to the "document history" section below that describes your changes/actions.
