  • Reviewing (and potentially enhancing) project team proposals

The “Change Discovery Service” project will create a new OpenTravel message set that allows a pull-model caching system to stay current with rates & availability, as well as substantially decrease transaction loads on both the supplier and requestor systems. The proposed Change Discovery Service message pair facilitates a message-based process to streamline availability and rates caching by adding an intelligence layer to existing OpenTravel Availability messages and is designed to alleviate a significant challenge faced by suppliers and their trading partners—which is supporting an extremely high number of users, connected systems, complex queries—while preventing out of synch caches.

[edit] Completed

This project created three new availability, inventory counts, and inventory blocks pull message pairs.

This project created an Open Travel Post Event message to distribute a client(s) post event history(s) to specified consumers of the data. The message summarizes high level usage information for both a city-wide event and a single facility event.
